The City of Chambly will make important changes to its collection services, starting January 2021. It is informing residents now to make for an easy adjustment and help keep everything rolling smoothly and efficiently.
TWO COLLECTIONS ACROSS TWO SECTORS
Starting in January, the zone for waste collection and waste and oversized item collection will be divided into two sectors: East and West. These changes will help improve operations and allow the operators to complete the work on schedule. For this to happen, it is critical that residents identify which sector they are in using the map provided and follow the pictograms that clearly identify each of the collections and sectors, as set out in the municipal calendar and the material drop-off and collection calendar.
West Sector: All addresses west of Fréchette Boulebard and south of De Périgny Boulevard (excluding addresses on Fréchette and De Périgny Boulevard).
East Sector: All addresses east of Fréchette Boulebard and north of De Périgny Boulevard (including addresses on these main arteries).
Waste collection will now be undertaken on every other Tuesday, between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., throughout the year. Waste must be left on the property, by the lot (not on the street), on Monday night after 7 p.m., or on Tuesday morning before 7 a.m.
Oversized item collection will now be done every other month, at the same time as waste collection, on Tuesdays between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Oversized items must also be left on the property, by the lot (not on the street), on Monday night after 7 p.m., or on Tuesday morning before 7 a.m.
